The art of "thank you"

Researchers have found that focusing on what we're "thankful" can increase our sense of well-being and happiness. And, telling people you appreciate them is another way to show gratitude.
After I read the passage, I was astonished that my attitude has been changed due to lack of sleep and I have completely ignore my love one who is next me. Work and project piling up toward the end of school change my emotional state and that's not O.K. Quickly, I wrote a "thank you" note to my love one for being there for me.
On this blog, I would like to thank everyone who attends the class together for all the inputs and collaboration.
Wish you all the best :)
How do you express yourself in the art of "thank you"?
Coupons! Coupons! A love and hate relationship. I see them in my mail compiling and dropped on the ground. I start to skim it and think what should I do with them. I couldn't threw them right away because I might need it.

Are you crazy about something and have a love and hate relationship with it???

What should I do? Are the coupons I saved REALLY saving my $$$$?

What keep you relax?

Foot massage promotes relaxation and well being. A specific manipulation and pressure on our feet reduce and eliminates blockages in corresponding glands, organs and other parts of the body. It releases stress and tension improves blood circulation and activates lymph drainage assists in elimination of toxins strengthens the immune system and harmonises vital functions enables a deep state of relaxation and well being which I would recommend for people need to boost their energy. After 3 weeks of busy busy hours without any rest, it's time to relax for the Memorial day. A Foot Massage will make me forget about today's worries and prepare fot tomorrow's challenges. Foot Massage has become very popular around the San Gabriel Valley and it starts with $15/hr and tip for $5. For some places, if you buy 10 foot massages you get one free. As your feet soak in the warm herbal water bucket, your shoulders and back are kneaded, pressed, and stretched out for 15 minutes. Then your feet and lower legs are worked on for 45 minutes. After the foot massage, I feel much better and be ready to challenge the fianl month of spring quarter. A soothing foot massage will keep me relax. How about you? What keep you relax to release the stress?
Memorial Day! A day of honor. Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service.

I SALUTE YOU!!!

For an extra day off to work on my paper and project is such a blessing due to our devoted veterans. Please "COME HOME"!!! Please pass this on...

Advice

What advice do I need to navigate myself successfully? I f I have the advices at the time which I needed most maybe my life will be easier but  would I listen to it.
I asked my friends what advice they would like to pass on to other people. Below is a sampling of the responses.
  • Be kind
  • Be optimistic
  • Be helpful
  • Do things the right way (no shortcuts)
  • Volunteer to help people move
  • Always say thank you
  • Be honest
  • Don’t be afraid
  • Always say I love you
  • Be true to yourself
  • Don’t be afraid of making a fool of yourself
  • Don’t be critical of others

  • I bet there are a great bits of advice out there and there’s a story behind every one of them. That’s why it would be nice to share in this blog…what advice do you want to pass on–to your friends, to family, to future generations? And why do you give that advice? What did you experience in your life that made this particular piece of advice so important to you?

One day I was shopping with my daughters and there was this lady who thought my daughter cut in front of her and she screamed at my daughter. My daughter was so angry and ready for a battle. I calmed her down and told her that we were here for pleasure and there was no need to be so mad. My parents installed a message in our family:

"Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice, but because you are."

    A father Figure

Mother's day is a day of celebration for "MOMS" in the world. How about DADS? Are they just merely a complement for mom? Father's day has become more prominent when fathers are involved and contributed more time in their child's life. If you are a single mom, how can you compensate the role of a dad for you child? If you are their child, how can you express your thought for your dad? What other male role could be a father figure for you?

My dad is my hero and I admire him so... He passed away when I was twenty-two years old without any notice. I wasn't prepared for his death and has always thought that he will be with me but the reality is that he passed away in a sudden and didn't leave a "word". I wasn't able to see him face to face nor attended his funeral. It was the worst time of my life which let me aware that I have to redirect all my love to mom and kept his memory alive through his "QUOTES".

I could remember how afraid I was when I was with my dad as a little girl because he was like a stranger to me, and I won't talk to him because I don't know what to say to him. His attitude changed when my family moved to the United States. He spent more time with me and help me understand the American way. We created a bond even thought it took a while to catch up with the missing pieces.

May is a busy month for me because it's my birthday, wedding anniversary, and mother's day. During this month, I will think about my mom and dad who gave birth and be so gracious to me. My wedding anniversary: I remembered that my dad didn't attend my wedding and he didn't give his bless to my marriage because he thought I was so young and I should continue with my college education. Today, I returned to school to honor my dad to fulfill his wishes. I will keep pass down his "QUOTES" to my children ...

    Appreciate for what you have

It's mother's day and I miss the days at home with my mom and siblings watching the July Fourth's firework over the Manhattan Bridge in New York City. I never appreciated what I had was the most precious time in my life. I would like to "pass on" a message to you,"Capture every moment with your love one and never let go." The memory will stay with you forever. Living in Chinatown was a harsh memory for me because I had to juggle between school and a new environment. When I first immigrant to New York, I lived in a quiet neighborhood  in an urban area. When I just learn to cope with learning a new language (English) and meeting new friends, I had to move to Chinatown with the family. One of the family gathering is going to the east Hudson River which is an inexpensive entertainment and watching the beautiful  firework while looking at the Statue of Liberty stood right in front of me. Ironically, it didn't interest me at all. I hated the noise and the crowd, and hope to go home despite of concern for my family. Now, my father and my youngest sister were gone in peace and I will always keep my memory in my heart every time I watched the "fireworks" on Independence day and New Year Eve.

Now, I am a mom and I have children whom I love so... I understand why my mom was trying to do for us. Even life is harsh, we can still find ways to make a better life by adopting, adjusting and facing it regardless of challenges. I will still go back to my place of "home" because it's part of me. I would like to pass the word "Treasure who you are and where you are coming from."
